Default A couple of questions from a Newbie.....

Please Login to Remove!

Just picked up my 8530. This is my first blackberry. I am starting to wonder why I didn't get one earlier. I have figured out the email setup, the home screen icons, etc and several other features. However I have a couple of questions I cannot figure out.

I downloaded the EBAY from Appworld. It said it installed and the phone rebooted. But I cannot find it. I looked in the application folder and download folder, they are both empty. I tried to download it again and it says I already downloaded it so I assume it is there somewhere.

Also is there a way to clear text messages and the call log on this phone all at once or do I have to delete them one at a time?

Thanks.....

Wirelessly posted (blowin' in the wind)

Check your download folder again, but select "show all" from the menu. If it isn't there, look around. You may have to select show all again after you leave the download folder and open another, I don't know.

To delete multiple messages, one way is to hold the caps key and scroll over the messages you want to delete, then delete. Or, highlight a date bar and select delete prior from the menu.

Other questions, the help app on the blackberry is very good. Also see blackberryfaq.com.

Thanks for the reply. I had read you could hold the shift key and highlight all the calls or messages and delete them all at once. It turns out I was holding the alt key instead of the shift key. I figured it out now.

I still was unable to find my downloaded Ebay from Appworld. Not sure where it went.

Look in applications in options. Do you see it listed? You could try deleting and then installing again. But I'm betting it is there somewhere and you don't see it.
