Default Flimsy-ness of Rear Panel on Curve

Please Login to Remove!

Has anyone noticed a "flimsy"- ie cheap feeling on the rear of the curve while typing. Sometimes while typing on my Curve I can feel the back panel move in very slighty. Other than this, I love the new Curve just wish it had the Wifi , to make it the complete package.

Regards

Yea, ive felt it too. Altho, i am buying a new case for this thing to protect against scratches, so im guessing that the new case will add some extra rigidity to it.

Hey Noctem,

Glad to see I am not the only one that has experienced this-perhaps the Curve has too much curve to it? . I am wondering how the rear case on the Curve compares to other BB models? What case are you going with? Also to anyone else on here this "flimsyness" is only something one will feel if they are an absolute "perfectionist" about their phone.

When the curve was first released, many people reported issues with the build quality. Alot had similar problems (flimsy back cover, squeaky right side). Many had an exchange, including myself, and this has resolved the issue. Not sure how far you are into your Curve, or wether or not you still qualify for an exchange.

Try exchanging it for a newer unit to see if that helps. The issues you are reporting were common with the 1st batch of 8300's released.

VERY high tech solution. Cut a business card in half and set it on the battery before closing the back cover.....ROCK solid when typing!

Get a skin for it. It will protect the exterior, plus give it a bit more stability. The skins are thin enough that you can still use a holster.

My curve's flimsiness (is that a word?) is with the side panels. Every day they get looser, noisier...

I can live with it.
