Thanks for posting so fast before I racked up the charges. I guessed I missed that in their TOA.

I will go back to newb land now .

BTW The linked post down below probably works, but I am not familiar enough with my BB yet to try it.


OZ is the program talked about and it does use your SMS to send message so be really careful installing the program.

The Oz messenger uses sms messages for the IM's. I hope you have an sms plan with your BB data plan.

The best data-use IM program is JiveTalk. It's not free but it's well worth it's cost. (and you can be signed into all your accounts at the same time.)

if i'm not mistaken, those use SMS and not data, at least that's how i understand it...so if you don't have a text messaging plan then you will rack up fees quickly...

someone correct me if i'm wrong...

Correct. OZ uses sms. JiveTalk uses your data.

Or you could try using EQO. Free or cheap international mobile calls, texts and IM - EQO

EQO uses data for IM, and supports AIM, MSN, Yahoo, Googletalk and ICQ.

Hi guys, I am a noob and was wondering if you could tell me where I can download OZ?

I want to use AIM/Yahoo for IM and have unlimited text with ATT.

you get it by opening your media net browser and you can download it from there...it's under messaging if i remember correctly...
