8700 bug? with BES 4.0 MDS

We recently setup 2 8700's on our BES 4.0 for Lotus Domino and both devices are promting for authentication through our proxy server when accessing the BlackBerry Browser. All of our existion 7290's and 7100's do not have this issue as the BES server is setup with proxy user and pwd which allows all BB's access through internal proxy. Is this a bug with the 8700? Is there a new setting on the device? Anyone out there know?? Thanks
