I just connected my 8520 expecting my BBDM to offer me the new v.5 software, but instead it is offering 4.6 Core Applications.

My questions are;

• Is this update simply offered prior to the main v.5 software and I'm simply behind with my updates?
• Why does the 4.6 CA update want to delete BB Messenger?

I think it depends if your carrier has approved/released it yet.

I have 5.0.0.509 on one of my 8520's (can't remember where i got it from) not sure if it's the final or a beta, although i'm hoping it's not the final as so far i've found a couple of bugs.


The touchpad sometimes decides not to work so I cannot navigate (A restart will fix)

The Media player seems to repeat the entire playlist/album when it gets to the end even though repeat is set to OFF in the settings.

Do quite like the UI changes though, I'd have considered upgrading the other 8520 I have but that's a company supplied one so decided it's best not to mess with it.
