Default 7520 screen and size comparison. With Pics!

Well a lot of you have heard about the new and improved screen on the 7520 so I'm going to show you just how good it is.

These pictures were taken in the complete dark with my digital camera with the flash disabled. The phones from left to right are a 7520, 7510 and 7230.

Pic 1. All phones with the backlight button pressed once:

Pic 2. 7520 button pressed again (the 7230 shut the display off for some reason)

At the second pressing, the screen is absolutely blinding.

Side by side here is how the phone sizes compare. The 7520 is a little thicker.

The 7520 has a real metal bezel around the screen (no more paint chipping!). I have seen one 7230 like it before, but only once.

All models:

Finally, how the black cover looks on the back of the 7520

The cloth underneath is a StarFiber cloth, it is the absolute best thing for cleaning the screens. (No liquid needed!)

Great pics, question... do you need a new swivel case (leather or similar) with the extended batteries? same for the cradle (7520)

Hey, is that an HP NC6000 in that picture? I ask because it looks really similar to my NC8000 =)

Hi-tech, it doesn't seem to fit in the cradle with the extended battery, but the pouch fits it just fine.

Yeah, we recently switched to Dell D600's but they aren't as good. (Radeon 9000 vs 9600 in the HP) But apparently the Dells were a few hundred cheaper. I was given the option to "upgrade" to a D600 but I opted out.

(The smart card slot on the d600 however is handy for copying contacts off of SIM cards)

The improved screen on the model 7290 is the same dramatic difference too.
