Default Future Carriers for the Pearl?

Please Login to Remove!

I was wondering if anyone had any inside info on who was going to support the Pearl next. I'm with US Cellular, and they know nothing about their future. I would need a carrier besides Verizon or Cingular that's in the Virginia area.
Thanx.

A carrier besides Verizon or Cingular in the VA area....what about T-Mobile...the first ones to carry the Pearl.

If we knew the future, we would all be millionaires. =)

Two good points. In response to the first one, T-mobile is here, but the coverage for their voice plan is very poor. I think they cater to mostly 'data only' users, at least for this region of Va.

ahh, I can see why tmobile wouldn't be your best choice. It's been my experience that Verizon takes a long time before releasing new bb devices when compared to tmobile or cingular. Verizon and Sprint/Nextel tend to be the slowest. Not sure on a time line but I'll let you know if I hear anything.

Ouch. The only reason I switched to Nextel from Tmo is because I went to school at Radford and Tmo had no service. Now that I'm done with school and back at NoVa, I'm back with Tmo. Good luck to you.

You could always get an unlocked Pearl and use someone elses Sim card in it. Then the only thing that you need to consider is if the provider is Quad band or CDMA.
