Default Deletion of Address Book

Please Login to Remove!

My BB 8100 Pearl address book is synced with my personal address book in Lotus Notes via the company BES. This normally has around 50 entries in it. Due to a problem with the setup, I have somehow ended up with all 7779 entries from the company address book in the address book on my BB

Is there a way to delete these items easily? It seems the 'select multiple records' mechanism (using # key and trackball) that works in the Inbox doesn't work in the address book, and so I'm faced with deleting nearly 8000 entries one by one

Just for info, I've already tried to sync my BB address book with an empty Lotus Notes address book, hoping it would clear out the BB, but it doesn't seem to have worked.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

You may want to contact you BES admin and redo the EA.

You can do it trough the Desktop Manager. Click on backup and restore, click on advanced, and then highlight the address book and click on clear. I agree with kelvin in that you should contact the BES admin to get to the root of the problem.

Fantastic, that did the trick - thanks

The root cause has already been resolved
