Default Three Issues/Niggles with OS6/Torch

Please Login to Remove!

Anyone else have these issues (and solutions)?
  1. The numeric touch keyboard does not have a decimal point. Instead it has an = To type a decimal point in the middle of a number seems to require hitting . More keystrokes than desired.
  2. In OS4, one could attempt to open a web page when out of coverage, and the request would be saved and the page would be opened when coverage was regained. Very useful while on the subway to prime webpages to load upon exit. Not possible in OS6.
  3. Clicking a URL in an e-mail does not seem to always open the webpage in a new tab. So, after clicking several URLs to bring up various articles in a news e-mail, you find yourself with only one web page for the most recent one as opposed to several tabs, one for each article.

1. When you are typing a number on the touch keyboard, press and hold !?123 to get in numerical mode. The top left button is a decimal point.

2. The browser remains open and the URL is still present. No, it isn't automatic, but a small price to pay for all the other gains.

3. It should be. Worst case, press and hold. There's an option for new tab.

For #1, The top left is # for me, not a decimal point Perhaps varies by OS version #?

For #3, I was referring to opening URLs from e-mails. My browser does behave this way for Open Link in New Tab.

Top-right, rather...

And, never had that issue with emails. Perhaps, a bug?

Strange, mine is different, it has @ top right. I'd do a screen shot, but my screen shot utility takes num-lock off first. My numeric keyboard is:

# 1 2 3 ( ) _ - + @
* 4 5 6 / : ; ' " backspace
num 7 8 9 $ ? ! , = enter
shift 0 space sym shift

Anyone else?

Maybe, because I use a portrait SureType keyboard?

That must be it. I usually use full QWERTY in landscape mode.

I too would like to particularly see a period on the initial qwerty virtual keyboard, and the ability to open up links in emails into duffrent tabs. Seems possible maybe for future OS upgrades, ..;maybe? May I suggest putting these suggestions of yours into this thread, please?
