Hi,

I have a quick question about the T- Mobile Cure and the Verizon 8700 series Blackberries, does anyone know which of these Blackberries has the best reception in low signal strength areas. Also along the same lines which of these Blackberries has thee best data reception in low signal areas?

I am not really sure. I can't tell. All I know is that as long as there's a signal the BlackBerry can get the job done. So if you're in a low signal strength area, call quality might not be that okay there. And as long as you're seeing GPRS/EDGE (on GSM), data should be free-flowing. We'll see what the experts have to say though.

I've had a blackberry 8700g and from my experience, it seems to me that it has better signal compare to my 8320. When I had my 8700, I rarely drop EDGE at my house, but with the 8320 my signal frequently drops, thank goodness it has wifi/uma.

I have had an iDEN 7520 (Nextel), a CDMA 8703e (Sprint) and a GSM 8320 (Tmo) and I can definitely say that CDMA with 1 bar, voice quality is still great. That has been my experience will regular cell phones also. The Verizon cell I use (on-call phone) only gets 0 to 1 bars at my house and I have never had call-quality issues. GSM phones however...I have had awful call quality with anything less than 3 bars...static, tin-can sound and dropped calls. This has been with both ATT and TMO. I have used all of the major US carriers and the one I had the best experience was Sprint. I currently have TMO because...their data is cheap...I can't afford Sprint anymore.
