Default Reconciliation Problems

Please Login to Remove!

I am using, Bes 4.1 and Exchange 2003 Sp 2. My boss and I have the excact blackberry and the excact firmware. Here is the situation:

I receive email in my inbox, when I delete them from Outlook, they also automatically remove from the Blackberry. My boss on the other hand, he receives email and deletes them from outlook, they do not delete from the handheld, he must click reconcile now. Why is this? The server is set at the root of the policy for everyone to delete on handheld, so what could it be?

He does have other users with access to his inbox in outlook, would this make a difference?

Is he checking the seconds he deletes something from Outlook? The reconciliation is not instantaneous.

Push in the wheel and reconcile now .. that will force the reconcile between BES and mailbox. If it deletes your just not waiting long enough.

No, but on mine its with in 5-10 minutes and I have his on my desk right now and still waiting for 3 emails to be deleted from 40 mins ago. Oh yah to add, I tried to force an reconciliation from his blackberry, it didnt delete them. Now would this be because other people have his inbox open??Or something is wrong with his handheld?

Also the deleted email (if deleting from Outlook) needs to be in the deleted folder so Blackberry can track where it went ..

Yes, On the handheld it is on and also on the BES server I turned on Hard deletes reconciliation to True.

OK here is where I am leaning..he has 2 assistants..I gave them mailbox access to him from their outlook..everyone is set to exchange in cach mode..so I send him 3 tests emails..from me..delete them..from his inbox they are deleted..It's been 45 mins..nothing, I tried to force the reconciliation from the BB..no such luck, I go to see his admin, she is looking at his inbox and still sees my damn 3 emails..see my gut leans here..should I change everyone off of cach mode, or do you think it even matters?

sounds like you have too many cooks in the kitchen, so to speak. Why are the assistants using cached exch for his mailbox? That doesn't seem necessary unless they have laptops and need to access the info away from the office.

OK I just took all 3 off Cache Mode, lets wait and see.

Dman this doesn't work, what would be my next step? Re-do the handheld? Like I said, mine works fine so obviouslt BES has no issues.
