I have to say, calling support is just about the last thing I ever want to do. I find posting on forums (especially here at blackberry forums) to be leaps and bounds better than tech support. Kudos to all those who help!!!

Default Service Books Are Rad!

If ever you're having problems with a service like MMS. I'd recommend deleteing your service books located at "Options-->Advanced Options-->Service Book"
Click on each one in the list and delete the service book. All but Provisioning [provisioning] are able to be deleted.
After that, resend the service books from the BIS webpage nextel.blackberry.com = BlackBerry Internet Service
Even though the device switch wizard works well, the services between the 7100 and 8350 may be slightly different, and so by resending them, you are sure to get all the services books properly into the new device.

I don't think Nextel has ever supported SMS on Blackberry, therefore, I add my friends "text" address to my contact list like this "3105551212@messaging.nextel.com" This email address "text messages" their phone via email and I don't even meed a messaging plan.

I have been using an iden blackberry since the 7510 (ouch) and the newest 8350 is the best to date. I am really impressed with the ability to surf and send/receive emails while only connected to wi-fi and having the iden radio turned off.

What gets me so far is the accuweather push service, (updated twice daily) that I had on my 7100i. If you use your BB browser and surf to "mobile.blackberry.com/mss/push_eula" I was able to subscribe to the Accuweather Push Service, but on the 8350i, it only displays "This service is currently not available for your device".
I realze that this is a new unit, but I love the push weather feature so. I think it will only be a matter of time before Accuweather will be able to support the new device. If I remember, the same thing happened when I migrated to the 7100i.

I can't even figure out where to look to set up telenav!
Also has a little issue with my contacts where after saving them from my sim card the phone still said I have no contacts. I finally went into settings and deleted "business" and made them all personal. They were all there. It does have little quirks that I am sure we'll work out as we get used to the phone. If anyone can tell me how to set up telenav that would be great!

any way to adjust how sensitive the auto dim feature works? I'm sitting in my office with full on florescent lighting and it keeps dimming too low! I know you can turn it on and off... annoying.

YES! If anyone figures this out I want to know. If I DC someone I don't want that listed as a message.. very annoying!

As for the theme go to menu then options then themes. It's easy! There are only 2 themes but I uploaded my own picture. You can rearrange the icons as well. Now I just need to figure out how I did that again! I did get my telenav figured out!

I felt stupid because I was in the mall and went into a Sprint store to ask about the telenav and the lady at the counter was all excited because she hadn't seen the phone yet but she still showed me where to set up the telenav within about 30 seconds. It must be similar to other BB Curves! I felt stupid because it was right in plain sight and I had overlooked it.

A couple of other things I am curious about is can you set it so you don't have to scroll through contacts every time you want to DC the person you talk to the most? I know I used to have that on my old phone before I got the 7100i then I wasn't able to do that on the 7100i. Just curious if it was possible with this phone?

And last thing I noticed there was an icon with AIM, Yahoo Messenger and Google talk. It seems either I've gone crazy or they have disappeared. Now all I can find is BlackBerry messenger. Maybe I am overlooking it?

DOH! Found the messengers. It's confirmed that I am crazy. I think there are just so many new things that I keep overlooking them.

Well....I now can not receive any text messages at all, either SMS or MMS. I can send them all day long, but cant receive. If I can get that fixed and the annoying DC info messages...all will be golden. Even w/ this stuff I LOVE THIS PHONE. I have never been a "fancy" phone guy....but I am now!

I think I got this one figured out:

RTFM

Send your contact information automatically
1. In the phone application, press the Menu key.
2. Click Options.
3. Click Direct Connect.
4. Change the Auto Send My Info field to Yes.

Yes is default...set to NO

According to the help feature on the phone I can stop the call & DC logging in my messages. It says to go to menu then options then call logging. Unfortunately I don't see call logging on the list anywhere. Can someone look and confirm whether or not I am blind??

Default reverb??

When making a call from the 8350i has anyone mentioned that they hear a reverb? I know this is common sometimes with Nextel but most of the people I have called from this phone are complaining they hear themselves talk. I don’t seem to be having the problem on my end but the people I call are.
