I did #3 a few times.
But this time I did the install again of 4.5 and did # again and now it's working.
I see you have TMobile so I guess you have a TMo device right. No complains right?
I have a TMo device also because I bought mine in the US.
thanks for the help.

Reason: question because i see that the phone looks like it is off
That's normal. Leave it be. After it erases it will reload the OS. Then it will reboot and sit with the hourglass for 20-30 minutes. Just let it go. When it's done it will restore your data.
That's a good question. Vodafone doesn't have UMA so it works fine for them. It didn't fry their sim cards either. However, TMo users had damaged sim cards and no UMA. You can try it if you like.
because it wasnt released for tmobile. and i may be wrong but carriers in sri lanka dont use uma???
so it does work correctly......for who it was intended for
Aye Caramba! I am on a T-Mob 8320 and this is the WORST 4.5 they could have released! .18 was better for for me! I am running .42, which is generally fine, but I would like to be running a "legit" OS. I would go back a bit, but not to this. I will patiently await another legit 4.5, and stop chasing Betas. I promise.
Note to T Mobile 8320 users- this is the exact same OS that killed two of my SIM cards.
