Will do, thanks, JSanders!!

PS: I was just wondering, mine is a beta while a "regular" version has been released by Vodaphone. Will this make a difference on my BB's performance?

Completely remove the LBS.ALX and the LBS .cods from the java folder. And install the older version. Remove the service book, reboot and it should work...

I even re-sent the service books from Att and BBMaps is still there. And fully functional.
Just follow the instructions in this thread and you should be in buisness. Make sure you READ THE ENTIRE THREAD!! There are a couple of methods on this thread that will work. But ONE IS EASIER than the other....http://www.blackberryforums.com/beta...-os-4-5-a.html

Default SIM Card during OS upgrade

Does the SIM card need to be in the phone when upgrading the OS to 4.5? Since it seems to take a while, I thought it would be good to put the sim card in another phone so I can receive calls during the upgrade.

No Sir, in fact I turn the radio off to make sure no calls come in while in the upgrade.

I also removed my VP's sim card and stuck it in a 8820 this AM while his went thru his 45 minute upgrade and PTT removal. Worked fine

While upgrading, I make it a habit to not even touch the device while it is hooked up the cable. Any interuption is not good!

^^Not a bad practice, there.

On the other hand, I have never removed the SIM for an upgrade. And lately, it seems, I have been upgrading about 1x week.
