Default Blackberry Curve running very slow

Please Login to Remove!

For some reason by BB starting running very slowly, it continuously shows me the hour glass which doesn't go away...pulling out the battery did nothing. I have a 4 or 8 gig mem card. When the hour glass does disappear, I can't seem to click into my messages.

Any advice?

Done anything to it recently? Like have you installed "newer" 3rd party apps just a few mins/hours ago? Did you follow the instructions on doing the battery-pull from here 1st step to take if device is having problems? - BlackBerryFAQ ?

how much free memory do you have? to check go to options > status > file free

I don't know how many apps you've installed on your device, but you may be running low on memory with old stored messages and e-mails etc...

try doing this: How do I free up memory on my device? - BlackBerryFAQ

or this: http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...ee-memory.html

Before I do, where can I find the software?

I only find an 8310 download for T-Mobile on Blackberry's website.

Is this a message you get when you reinsert your battery? The carrier doesn't matter on the OS. They are all the same OS. The instructions will tell you to delete the vendor.xml (this is the file that makes it carrier specific).

Again, when you pull your battery and resinsert are you able to access anything?

Ok, I wiped the phone and with a 4 gig SD card, I only have a little half of my available memory free after the wipe completed. Is this normal?
