Default Noobie Unlock question for T-Mo 8900

Please Login to Remove!

Hello!

I was hoping someone to get some feedback regarding my brand new T-Mobile 8900. I was going to unlock it, but wanted to make sure that if I unlock it, it will still work properly. I have the unlock code ready to go.

If I do get it unlocked, is there anything modifications that I would need to complete to ensure full functionality? I did catch wind of some other threads mentioning UMA and/or Wi-Fi functionality....I may have been mistaken just ignore me...busy day at work.

Thank you in advance!

So you want to unlock a T-Mobile 8900 and use it on T-Mobile?
What additional functionality are you looking for?

My intention was to unlock due to my frequent travelling overseas - to use prepaid SIMS from foreign carriers.

I'm not looking for any add'l functionality, I just want to make sure if the unit is unlocked no damage will occur.

No damage will occur, just note that it is extremely unlikely that you will get BlackBerry e-mail and data on a foreign prepaid SIM.
