What could be causing this? The only thing that runs other than regular services is Google Voice. I was in NYC this past week and I couldnt get past 2pm in the day without my battery going into the red. Anything I should check?

How old is the battery?

How do you operate? Do you routinely run the battery down all the way, or do you top off?

Year or so...I have new 9650 showing up tomorrow so I will be anxious to see if a new battery is the sole issue. Are their any settings other than running apps to check? My use varies....sometimes I wear it all the way down if I am not near a charger....other times I will top off.

Completely draining a LI battery is not good. They generally do not recover and the charge levels are less than one that is kept fully charged to a minimum of 50% or so. The battery more than likely needs to be replaced.

Shouldn't let it get below 20% as that is when you can damage the battery as mentioned above..

As for running down, you might have apps running in the background that eats battery. NYC is notorious for bad/lost signal and searching/going in and out of 3G and trying to find a signal drains the battery as well.
