Ok so I was going to browse the app world for something and I couldn't find the appworld icon. Hmmm....I thought to myself, that's weird. I've never had a problem before and I keep my storm2 fairly organized. So as I'm looking I notice a new icon called "vcast apps". What is strange is that I noticed it is in the same spot as where the bb appworld was. Go to my applications and there is no sign of the bbappworld even on my phone.

Also noticed a few days ago that a skype icon magically appeared also.

Anyone have any info on all this and what else verizon might suddenly decide to take away and or add?

Oh yea and forgot to mention they deleted the google app and replaced it with bing. Wth? I think that was back in December. Ya know I guess I don't mind them adding stuff here and there. But the whole replacing something of mine I already have with something else and without my permission is starting to rub me the wrong way.

I was a little freaked out when carriers just started pushing stuff like Facebook onto our devices. But now deleting things?! That is WAY over the line. It may be in their terms of service, but it still sucks. Hard.

Verizon is reportedly getting ready to release their own app store, but only for the Storm2 initially so I read. Maybe they are trying to get rid of the app store competition?

I still have App World listed in my Appication Center folder. I don't have it installed right now.

Lost my app world a few weeks ago, but thought I had done something. I reloaded it and still have it now. Skype did come out of nowhere, but needs a download to activate. I hid all my apps in folder so they may not be finding things to delete.

One more reason I won't go back to Verizon even if they get the coolest phone in the world for free.

I still have App World on my Storm 2. I installed the Vcast Apps, and it has a freakin' advertisement in it! Not acceptable. Not acceptable at all. *deleted*

You can always download App World at mobile.blackberry.com
