i couldnt believe how hard it was to find free classic ringers. i know there are a ton of people that want them, it seems like everyone i know says they cant stand the goofy ringers they give you.

its almost like a nation-wide conspiracy to rid the net of regular ringers.

Try the link below to get the T-Mobile ring. Hopefully you will get a dialog box to save the file when you copy and paste this in your browser. As I said, the volume on it is a little low, even though I have it set at the highest setting on my 8703. Also, the end of the file is kind of butchered. You'll know what I mean when you hear it. Thanks again dabull

FYI, the forum won't let me post an actual URL because my post count is less than 10 but you should be able to copy and paste this into IE or whatever you use.

just for note- these ringers i have found around various websites, and a couple from threads here. ive cleaned them up using de-noise filters and ive maximized the volume. they have also been edited for longer ring duration and better pauses between rings. i dont want any credit for the ringers, but i have modified them.
Thanks for finding them, cleaning up the sound and increasing the volume, hosting them and sharing them with all of us. I've just snagged a few of these so thank you very much for these!

hey, i already have that sound posted above. check it out, the 'tmo2.mp3' one. i had already made it louder. its only one loop, but i think its better that way so you can use it for text notification without it playing for longer then you want. also, when set as a ringer it will loop over and over.

Dang, sorry I missed seeing that T-Mobile ring before.

Just curious, what software are you using to manipulate these files?

In this case, I DLed ringtones I know I won't use..how do you find and delete them?

QFT. Seriously, I can't stand using songs as ringtones, and I hate how there are never any good "normal" ringtone options on most cell phones these days. Thanks much!

I agree. To me, music ringtones are obnoxious.

Check out my 4 Shared folder for regular ringers, voicemail and alert tones.

httx://wwwDOT4sharedDOTcom/dir/1307542/2d800de3/sharing.html

Change the first x to a p and you are set, change DOT to a period. Not sure why I have to have 10 posts to share a bunch of ringtones with you all, but oh well.

It does work. Unfortunately, I am not allowed to post a link (not sure why as I am helping others out here) but those are the rules. Make sure you are typing it correctly. There are some very good ringers on there, and alerts plus voicemail alerts.

only one for now, more later. this one isnt quite as old-style as i want, but i will get more.
i will post the best ones in this first post-

**updated link** now longer ring with rhythm pause you may have to clear your browser's cache if the link doesnt play the updated version. the nice thing about this one is its LOUD.
https://publish.insightbb.com/personalfile/personalsite/sublime40/Classic.mp3
another, also nice, reminds me of cordless phones
https://publish.insightbb.com/personalfile/personalsite/sublime40/cordless.mp3
business or office type ringers
https://publish.insightbb.com/personalfile/personalsite/sublime40/office1.mp3
https://publish.insightbb.com/personalfile/personalsite/sublime40/office2.mp3

vintage style / classic ring type (louder, clearer version comming in about a week)
https://publish.insightbb.com/personalfile/personalsite/sublime40/vintage2.mp3
another, should be better
https://publish.insightbb.com/personalfile/personalsite/sublime40/vintage3.mp3
another shot, longer and louder. its too bad about the cover on the 8100, it really hampers the sound
https://publish.insightbb.com/personalfile/personalsite/sublime40/vintage4.mp3

this one would be good for a text notify. would also be a decent ringer
https://publish.insightbb.com/personalfile/personalsite/sublime40/notify.mp3
another, the t-mobile theme tone. also good for notification
https://publish.insightbb.com/personalfile/personalsite/sublime40/tmo2.mp3
the one and only 'you got mail'
https://publish.insightbb.com/personalfile/personalsite/sublime40/gotmail.mp3
you have voicemail
https://publish.insightbb.com/personalfile/personalsite/sublime40/voicemail.mp3
sort of like an AIM ding-dong
https://publish.insightbb.com/personalfile/personalsite/sublime40/ding.mp3

an alarm! 15 constant seconds of a bell.
https://publish.insightbb.com/personalfile/personalsite/sublime40/alarm.mp3

Thanks for this!! Does anyone know the setting that activates a tone for voice mail on the 8700. Its not message or message 1. I am trying to set your voice mail tone its really neat!

I'm actually looking for the classic BLACKBERRY email alert sound. You know, the three ascending tones. I would love to have that for use in my Pearl. You know what they say, everything old is new again!

Anyone?

I kind of miss some of the old midi tones I had on my 7290 back in the day. Does anyone know where I can find them?
