Default Computer won't recognize SD card in Pearl

Please Login to Remove!

My computer does not recognize the microSD card in my Pearl as a "removable drive" even though Media Storage Mode Support is “On” and Auto Enable Mass Storage Mode When Connected is set to “Yes”. Every time I connect the Blackberry to the computer via USB I get the “Found New Hardware Wizard”. I assume this is to install the Blackberry Desktop Manager Software. The card works perfectly when inserted in a media card reader. It also works as it should in the Blackberry(view files, create folders). I get the same result when I try to connect on a different computer. I have tried a different USB cable and also formatted the card on the Blackberry. Any suggestions or am I stuck removing the card each time I want to transfer files?!!!! Thanks.

Do you have the Blackberry Desktop Manager Software installed? If you do,open it,and click on Media Manager,if you don't GET IT HERE https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads...wBGipEc+CzoA** and INSTALL IT.You need to download BlackBerry Desktop Software v4.2 Service Pack 2. I hope it helps

The usual causes for this is an issue with mapped drives. The BB usually wants to be E:/ of F:/ drive.

Turn off mass storage mode and see if that helps. There should have been a warning pop up when you enabled it saying that it may not show the sd card when connected via USB.
