Yeaps, tried that, and for some reason I can't highlight the sender number within the message and ofc no "add sender" option. That's why I just go for MMS then select the number, copy then paste to contacts. =(

I guess an OS upgrade would fix that.

OT: any suggestion as to what OS would be best?

Well mine works but I'm not sure which OS I have - it says:

v4.6.1.314 (Platform 4.2.0.135)

Chris, the first lot of numbers are the OS. v4.6.1.314
That is a lower OS than the other 2 people in this thread with the problem, as they are on OS 5.

It's not just T-Mobile.
Vodafone UK (if it is indeed their responsibility/fault) also don't have an option to save a contact number from an SMS.

Its not the carrier, its THAT specific OS version. V5.0.0.681 OS obviously doesn't have that option. Either upgrade (if available) or downgrade to a version that DOES have it.

Ok it's good to have that confirmed, thank you. Although I don't personally find it a major issue as I simply use 'Send MMS' and save it from there, so I'll wait and see if the next upgrade fixes it.
