Thumbs up T-Mobile's new messaging plan

Please Login to Remove!

I saw a comercial from tmobile last night stating that for $9.99 you can get unlimited messaging. I was curious and looked it up and found out that if you have a family plan you can get unlimited txt, pic, and video messaging for up to five lines for the one low price of $9.99. Check it out: http://www.t-mobile.com/services/valuebundles.asp I had to call customer service to get it added.

Just wanted to get that out there for anyone and everyone that would be interested.

One last thing, a rep told me that they were going to up the price to $19.99 after the introductory time.

I would imagine that will not help BB folks since that data and BB data are usually totally different. If that were the case, TMO would get a huge influx of customers from the other berry service providers. Even at 19.99 it's 25 bucks cheaper than the all you can eat BB plans.

I think you miss-understood what he meant by "unlimited messaging".

That's refering to SMS, not data.

And, even with a BB, I believe we all receive a SMS from time to time. Since I use less than 100 per month it has been cheaper for me to not have a TXT plan but now all 4 of my lines get unlimited TXT for $10. You can't beat that! I just unintalled Ramble and installed the TMO IM app...

I might actually change my plan to a family plan to take advantage of this offer. I currently have three lines, each is on their own plan.

1. My voice line
2. My blackberry line
3. My friends line

Seems pretty expensive since verizon offers that same plan for $5.

Verizon does offer it for $5 but with twice price for the voice and Blackberry data plans. T-Mo has some of the most competitive prices in the industry, as well as an ever improving network. $9.99 added to my bill will bring it to roughly $97.00+taxes/fees for the family share plan with one BB with data and voice along with one reg. phone with the internet adder. I would be impressed if any other Carrier could beat that for the average user, not counting corporate discounts.

Soapm, looks like they have followed suit with t-mob and raised their text messaging price to $10. I got mine for $5 unlimited when I signed up for the 2 year contract Plus they gave me the corp. discount even though I was signing up for personal use. That kept the overall cost well below $97 and the 7250 was $29 new. I could not find where you could just add it to an exsisting line. I have seen that in the past. Maybe CS can help you out. Sorry for misleading you all. My contract is pretty recent.
