Default Receive SMS notification of voicemail

Please Login to Remove!

I've been receiving an SMS every time I have a voicemail. How can I discontinue this?

It's a carrier thing! (I am pretty sure it is not an option on the BB itself, let's see if someone will confirm that).

That stinks. I no longer have unlimited SMS through Verizon, so I'd rather not use texts for a silly reason such as voicemail notification...

I don't think you get charged for the text type messages for voicemails. Check with your carrier.

You won't, that notice is a courtesy notifcation from the carrier.

I just read this on pinstack.com :

I just got the issue of the annoying text (SMS) message with every voicemail fixed. Call the Sprint (or your carrier) support number, and tell them to "deactivate the code for sending an SMS Voicemail Activation". The rep told me there was no code number or name, but it is a feature associated with the BB account.

It literally took the young lady about 1.5 minutes to turn it off from the time she answered. I'm impressed!

You don't need pinheads to answer the question, I thought I said something like "It is a carrier thing".
