Default ****A BIG mistake****

Please Login to Remove!

I opted for Blackberry pearl 8120 and committed a big mistake. Its just not for me, cos it cant do some of the following simple things:

1.cannot vibrate and ring at the same time
2.no vibrate option for SMS
3.cannot edit a number from call log
4.cannot watch youtube videos
5.cannot send a contact in my address book as an SMS--***Basic and important***
6.does not support 3G(not a big deal)
7.2MP camera(not a big deal and i knew this b4 hand.)
8.need to pay for all the software
9.crashes when i install opera mini

Will be going back to SE immeadiatly.

Sound like the big mistake is your lack of basic research on the Pearl.

1. Not natively, but I believe there is a 3rd party app that can do this - check the Aftermarket Software forum here.

2. How do I edit my notification tones (profiles)? - BlackBerryFAQ

3. Why do you want to edit a number from a Call Log? Maybe there is another way to do what you're trying to accomplish.

4. Did you try m.youtube.com?

5. Not sure I follow. Do you want to send an SMS message to a contact in your address book?

6. True.

7. Also true (and is that a complaint?)

8. Not true. Search this site for 'Mini-Version Tracker'. A great thread with links to a lot of FREE software (and some that is not free).

9. Someone else will have to help with this one. I don't use Opera.

Oh, sounds like you've already left. Sorry I wasted my time to help. Maybe if you would have asked for some help in the first place you would have found some answers.

Yea, that's quite apparent. I love these threads where people complain before even asking any questions or doing some research.

Makes me hope I'm not on the road when they are if they just got a new car and didn't check to see where the brake pedal is.

And with a name like "hateberry" I wouldn't be surprised if the account becomes another "1 post wonder...."

Wirelessly posted (off to see the wizard)

How is one gonna complain about a device when they failed to investigate/research a product first

I watch youtube all the time on the BB. If I couldn't would not be be a deal breaker

By way of closing a loose end: I had Opera Mini on my 8100, and it never crashed. I would assume that thsi would be true with an 8120, provided that there was sufficient memory availible.

He should of got an Iphone. I tried the bb for a year or so but the mods take way to much time. I loved my bb and I still got it dont ever use it any more. The only thing I miss is the size and well thats it. You sould all go and get the new Iphone. The one thing I hated most about the bb is some of the apps coundnt be installed ota. I havent found a single app for the iphone that you have to pulg the darn thing to your coumputer in to install. The iphone rocks and IT WILL DO EVERYTHING THE BB WILL DO! I hack everyting I get and I hate to say it but I will never get another bb they really need to step it up with the rest of the phones!!!!!! I was one of those folks that said they would never get an iphone I was bb all the way now I know what I was missing and ill probably never go back utill they step up with the new phones.

Oh my. How do you get your tasks and notes over wirelessly?

Oh never mind, it's an iPhone so minor issues like functionality don't matter.
