Make sure you also remove your Intellisync PIM folders from C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Application Data\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Intellisync.
If these are corrupt it could be causing the problem. Alternatively, it could be one of your contacts which is malformed, and causing Intellisync to crash.
