BlackBerry Handheld Software v4.7.0.230 (AllLangj)
Package Version: 4.7.0.230
Consisting of:
* Applications: 4.7.0.167
* Software Platform: 4.0.0.205
* File name:
9500_omadrmjAllLang_PBr4.7.0_rel230_PL4.0.0.205_A4 .7.0.167_TaiwanMobile.exe
* File size: 145.29MB

https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads...E1E828EBEBEB11

Instructions for installing either version on ANY carrier's 9500:
1. Download the above OS file to the PC then install it to the PC by running (double clicking) the file you downloaded.
2. Go to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
3. Plug in BB and double click on "Loader.exe." It's located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

The process takes about 45 minutes to an hour depending on how much data you have to backup and restore during the process. Once it's done loading the new OS it will reboot (it may do this twice during the entire process.) You will see a white screen with an hourglass for up to 20 minutes at a time while the DM says "waiting for initialization."
If, for some reason, you end up with a white screen with small icons and the number 507, simply connect to the PC again and run Loader.exe again and it should load the OS to the device.

Installed this software. Seems quite nice - they've changed the transition effect between screens which is interesting. OS doesn't seem much different otherwise - doesn't seem any slower or quicker, and haven't noticed any bugs. Don't know about battery life/memory leakage yet. Browsing seems quite snappy and my third party apps work.

Not seeing either of those problems here. Try resending your Service Books for the email folders problem? Don't know what to suggest about FB - works fine for me on the new software (and that's the latest version of FB - 1.6.0.21 according to Application Center).

Feels a bit snappier here. Probably because of the battery pull though. I like the new transitions

*edit* Just noticed my browser's disappeared. Grrrr.

Default Dear Mr. Sanders

You seem to have an edge on getting the new O/S installed.

How is 4.7.0.230 working on the 9530?

There is an option to combine them. Just open options while in either of those folders and select the combine feature.

Just installed. Like the way the transitions now work. seems faster but that may be because of the battery pull. No issues yet

For all,
h-t-t-p/-/na.blackberry.com/eng/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp, is the link to BB software site across the globe, u can get version .167 from the MTC site with iphon eline fade up and fade down capability, the file name reads
9500_omadrmAllLang_PBr4.7.0_rel230_PL4.0.0.205_A4. 7.0.167_MTC_Touch.exe
As again do rememner these 2 steps
1) Delete vendor.xml file
2) With your device connected click on 'Loader.exe' and let it do its thing,
voila you will have the newest software on the BB v 4.7.0.167 (Platform 4.0.0.205)
Let me know if you need more info on this
