Default Seperate Contacts

Please Login to Remove!

My work just gave me a new Tour and I'm coming off a two year old Curve that I have synced all my Google contacts to. Since I need to keep my work Outlook contacts on the Tour, is it possible to add my personal Google contacts and keep them separate from the work contacts? Is it also possible to do something similar with the calendar?

Thanks

Nope. You can have multiple calendars but can only sync one via Outlook. It might be possible to also sync one with Google, but not sure, I don't use it.

What if I sync via usb to my Outlook and then sync OTA with Google? Not sure if that would make a difference.

You would have to change the default calendar which is associated with an email account.

I have had issues changing the default account after syncing.

Thanks for the info. I didn't think it would be possible but thought I would ask anyway.

Cheers!

Is your question about two separate calendars or two sets of contacts?

Since zerog46 stated that I can have multiple calendars, then my question is about two sets of contacts that are not shared.

You can select "Personal" and "Business" on the Outlook Categories.

If you are viewing as a Phone List, it won't sort by category, but you can print them separately by viewing as Address Cards, and select the category you want. It makes it a bit easier when generating a Christmas card list for home and work.

You could install Pocket Informant and set it not to sync with your built-in calendar and address book.
