Find and use the "options" icon on your homescreen.

And if you are on Verizon, you have the 9530, for future reference.

Default Password keyboard

these settings don't seem to affect the password keyboard, which is very irritating. The "glow" isn't limited just to one key, but overlaps the surrounding keys. This causes me to input a bad password just about every time I go to unlock it. Should this be another Storm up against a brick wall at high velocity?

I have a question, how can i get different icons from a letter, example on my Bold I hold down a letter and scroll the trackball, I get different choices. Also, how can I highlight multiple emails to delete at once.

Thank you

Wow, what a big difference. They should make this the default settings.

Cheers for the tip. Keyboard seems much more responsive now!

Thanks for the tips on these. This is my FIRST Blackberry and I am finding it very tough to use vs. my wife's iPhone. That thing is easy as pie to type on, but these new settings are certainly an improvement on my Storm2.

Lots to learn. But I will dive in.

Playing around I am finding that the faster things move or lock in place, the better I like the keyboard. I have all the settings faster than the defaults at this point and so far I am having fewer errors while typing, moving around, etc.

1) I've been using 500/100/6 for some time now, and it works great. It keeps up as fast as I can type, and it's very responsive with those settings.

2) I didn't read all the way back in this thread, so if this is a repeat, please forgive me. I use the BB O/S v5 "Show Key Indicator" option under Options>Screen/Keyboard.
If it's on and you're hovering over a key, it will pop up a box showing the key you are hovering over. That way, if you're fat-fingered like me and can't see the blue "halo", you know which key you're over. It works great. There are three options: "Never On", "On Touch and Hold" and "Always". I use always.
