I just got off the phone with T-Mobile. The update has been delayed by 1 day. We'll see if they push it again tomorrow, but the TMO BB Tech looked it up and said it would be the 18th now. This WILL be a major update addressing many issues.

I spoke with a buddy who has a brother who is a t-mo sales rep who spoke with the tech folks and they said that it was supposed to be up today, but for sure it will be up before or on monday.

As far as TMobile is concerned it will be a "big" upgrade i.e. 2GB card support, etc. For everyone on this forum it probably won't be that much different from what is already available from other carrriers.

Yes, very credible!!! She agreed it would be up today, but then she looked it up and it had changed to the 18th. I also asked about the things to be modified. They have a long list including blue tooth, voice dial, phone, messenger, camera, memory, calendar and more.

How can you tell what is being upgraded? Is there a file in the download that we can read about it before installing? Do other carriers do this?

yes t mobile has delay the release until the 18.
this is what they say are the fixes with this update.

Trackball Silencing incoming call tone or alert
Mute key does not mute call
Web browser displays when selecting Set up Internet Email
Media card not playing mp3 files if copied over to some folders from computer to device
Run the setup wizard, turn on radio and select the correct time zone
Freeze when sending files over 300K over MMS
Freeze when playing .wma files
Cannot send files over Bluetooth® to another Pearl
Freeze when saving myFaves contact from the Address Book with more than 20 characters in the name
Multiple language support
Pressing red end key does not close browser session

For what it's worth, I can send pics to other Pearls.... .42 software on both Pearls...Didn't know this was an issue.

Has anyone else had the experience of plugging in stereo headphones and having the voice dialing feature start up. When I put the plug in, the voice dialing starts up and there is no left channel.
