Great, I did the update and it somehow wiped off my Enterprise service books. Is there any way I can manually restore these without having to go through my system administrator? Thanks.

WARNING TO SPRINT USERS: This update eliminates what may have been the Sprint Curve's biggest selling point--the ability to force roaming. I'm "downgrading" right now.

It's in there. When you install the OS, make sure you check the boxes for Docs To Go. You can always plug back in and check the boxes if you didn't the first time. It'll only take a few minutes to load it.

to whoever asked about the media player issue, yes, when you are playing a song on the device and you get an audio alert for a message, mail, IM, whatever, it will interrupt the music to play the sound and then the music will never resume from where it was interrupted. So annoying..

Don't you mean the Curve 8330 instead of the Pearl 8330?

I downloaded and ran the install program for the 4.5 update. When I run DM, it doesn't find the update. I know it installed because I can find the folder:

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\8330-v4.5.0.56_P3.2.0.44

I'm running the latest version of Desktop Manager (4.5).

When DM runs, it says "Checking for application updates". It doesn't find anything and just does the normal sync. If I go into update applications, it's not listed there as an option either.

If you can help, please PM me.

Thanks.

P.S. - There is no vendor file to delete so that is not the issue.

I figured it out. I was looking in the wrong spot for the vendor.xml file.

Delete the vendor.xml file located in c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader

Upgrade in progress now.

no issues so far. one complaint is that docs to go edits word and powerpoint files... why not excel? if the answer is because you can already view excel files then i say not good enough bc the docs to go interface would be much better. i mean really... i open 487 excel files per day and maybe one powerpoint per month. also i cant remove the default email settings application anymore through the dm or the bb(?) anyone know which cod's are responsible for this?

Ok, I got everything loaded (including Docs to Go) and things seem to working fine except for one thing. The biggest feature I was interested in is HTML email. My email doesn't look any different and things with images, don't show. Is there something I need to turn on?

You need to resend the service books and it will only work on new email, not one 's already on the BB.

Thanks. I was all set to resend my service books but I received some email so I thought it was fine.

Think that was their plan, to allow docs n powerpoint to entice people into buying the app to get the rest.
