wow, this is a helpful thread.

i'm surprised the skins fit in addition the oem leathercase. i currently have the invisibleshield screen protector + full body shield, excellent at preventing scratches but not so good at protecting against bumps!

If only I can part with my trackwheel, I would have stayed with my 8100 or the 8300. Skins are pretty cool to have. Too bad there is no OEM for the 8700g

I have skinned my knee a few times, but never a BB. I have a huge pile of pouches, cases, skins etc and have tried many of the different types. Mostly from Fortte and Seidio. I don't like skins. They let too much dust in. Pouches are much much better. See my page at my tips site on how to pick one.

I didn't like the dust issue I had with the skins I was using with my BlackBerry Pearl but I have had no dust issues at all with the skin I am using with my BlackBerry Curve. I've been pleasantly surprised at the fact that there has been no dust build up on the interior and exterior of the skin.

When RIM first released their Skins, the Black Skin for the Pearl was awful ! I guess they must have heard of the issue of it being a "dust magnet". Yeah, as like what Nitty said, the new OEM Black Skins are much much better. In fact, when I received the new Black Skins for the Pearl a couple of days ago, they are of the same quality as for the Curve and the 8800.
