Default With regards to software

Please Login to Remove!

The program that allows "c" to compose email....I have a 7105. Was that saying it won't work on my phone? Or is there just some other method I need to use?

Is there a Dictionary program I can download?

Can I open an Excel program? I have them on my puter. And if so, great. If not, can I get a program to let me AND Windows Mobile for the 7105t?

Thanks anyone who has time to read and answer
Eric

If this also helps, the program I want to use does not have any mobile capabilities; only if I connect to the computer through other means.

If so, which software would I use from your above list? I'm not very well versed with BB software. Thanks...
I was just looking at your list and saw the BBSPELL, will it recognize a m as a period (8700)?

Default voice recording software

before I had a blackberry I had a phone (moto i730) that allowed voice recording. I used this to make memos for myself while driving, or I would record a client telling me their address and phone numbers so that I would not have to pull over. Then that night when at home I could review my messages and get the information into my contacts, or into my todo sheet.

I have been looking everywhere I can think of for a program that will install on my 7520 and allow me to do this.

I do not want to pay a subscription for this program, as I can't justify paying monthly for this kind of a feature.

Please advise.

thanks,
Andy Suarez

Not to replace the convenience of a voice recorder, but call your voicemail?

Default thanks

yeah, I thought of the voice mail thing, and I'm keeping that as a last resort. It's just that I would rather not waste minutes calling my voicemail all day (I make a lot of memos to myself). Plus this doesn't solve my problem of not being able to record parts of my phone conversations so that I can write the information down when I get home.

I am just going crazy thinking that there is not a program that has been made to do this.

thanks for the reply,

Andy Suarez

Default 7100G issues

I have just returned my 4th 7100g B’Berry since Nov. 2005. Then original one was purchased locally here in Perth from an Optus Phone dealer. All 4 phones experienced the same symptoms – inability to initialize the start-up sequence and a rotating hourglass on the white background. I have dealt with the Optus Customer Service Center in Sydney, and they advised me that the 7100g had a high number of returns; however it was also popular. It is apparent that there is a flaw in either the software or the hardware. I am using the B’Berry Desktop manager Version 4.0.1.10 (Apr 2005), and have just updated to 4.1.0.8.

There are no specific activities, which trigger this outage – sometimes it occurs overnight, while connected to the PC, while in the holster, etc.

The Optus service person finally upgraded me to an 8700. This worked fine for 10 days however had the same problem. I tried taking the battery out, “soft booting” (cntrl + alt + del) but to no avail. I was at the Optus shop the next day, and the Manager got it to work (again, only by removing the battery.

Following are the only issues (brought up in discussions with Tech Support) that may aid in the fault

I do not use the e-mail function; therefore it is not hooked up to a B’Berry server. One suggestion was it needed to connect to obtain an authorization code
I run of 2 PC’s – the handheld is used to bring PDA data from work to home, updating my Outlook at home. There are 2 different OS – Windows 2000 (work) and XP (home).

Has anyone had any of these problems?

Additionally - Isthere any aftermarket freeware available for this model?

Thanks,

Michael

Default I don't have an answer for you

but I do have a question I hope you can answer (but I was locked up with the hourglass after I updated my OS from 4.0 to 4.1 from Hong Kong, and I am in the US . I was told it was normal. And it is only after using desktop. It is not a problem

but how do you bring home your data. just sync at work...then sync at home? And what kind of data and where would you store it on the device. I was using it more for internet/email/personal info, not for data. didnt know where to store on the phone and what the phone can read (i.e. spreadsheets, ...), how to connect to another puter (there is not pc anywhere type of stuff out there for 7100 series is there)

Can't get BBWeather to work; I keep getting error messages:

Error: Unable to open connection
Error: Bad DNS Address

Anyone know how to fit this I can check the weather from my BB. I would prefer BB Weather.

TIA!

Arrow help please

I have been looking for European maps for my BB 7290. I finally stumbled upon Maps N Directions put out by PTV AG. It looked good, great website, lots of downloads, good comments. So I bought it (it was only $19.99 should have been my first clue). I've configured everything and it just keeps saying "request cancelled -3" everytime I try to get it to look up an address. I've written email with no response. I even called Germany (their office is closed now). DOes anyone else have any experience with this software and/or do you know of any software I can use to get maps of Italy and France (would that google local were international) I leave in 4 days - Thanks for you help.

Default Need Help

I am a newbie with a 8700c and I'm having problems reading email messages with attachments such as Excel spreadsheets, Word documents and photos.
I found an application package on Handango called RepliGo. Anyone have any comments about this application or suggestions for other software to try?

i just found out that Blackberry doesnt support emails with attachments via Comcast ISP. so, blackberry said that the only way i could open attachments on my brand new 8700g is to set a redirect from comcast to blackberry from my laptop. something here doesnt make sense. help!!!
