I wish I have that many friends. Even in real life.

Anyone else wants to be my friend so we can help build this program to be a better one? Dispatcher35 has a lot of movement, thanks for sharing.

Yes Dispatcher35 (that be me) does have a lot of movement some nights and other nights I just sit there counting the leaves on the the trees.

If anyone else wants access just leave a request on the website.

Default Feature request for BB tracker

Would it be possible to track friends from my blackberry instead of online?

A great feature would be like googlemaps on the blackberry but have an option that says "show friends" (similar to show traffic). Then it will have bubble icons for friend locations where I can select map view or satellite view and see where everyone is.

A real world example: Want to be able to find my wife at disneyland .. instead of calling her to see where she is, I just open bb tracker on my device, look for her icon and walk in that direction

Great job on this!

That is one thing that I would love too. I'm in LA and I had to find out where my brother was since we were waiting for him. Instead of calling him, I just look at the site, and found him. This isn't with blackberry tracker of course, it was with reperion and I was able to track him with my blackberry and he used the tracking program from reperion.

Blackberry tracker is a good start, I wish it could be viewed from either the blackberry or phone browser.

I was wondering if there are any users outside North America? If so would someone allow me to view their location? I would really be interested in seeing this application working in Asia or Europe.

Ahh, I just went to try this and read that it wasn't for blackberry (the client application that uploads your coordinates)

Oh well, we'll wait for BB Tracker updates

Actually, they've been working on the Java Application for all Java phones.

Last night when I went to close the application, I noticed that there was a pop up about an update being available. As I was half asleep I did not bother to make note of the URL. This morning I checked the download page and see it still shows V 0.2.

Has anyone downloaded the update and what is the URL?

Mike

downloaded the app today, i think its amazing. definitely one of the best apps ive gotten for my bb8800.

Only thing is when i used the history it showed that i had traveled 1/2way into the gulf of mexico a few times this afternoon which certainly was a surprise to me! I guess that probably has to do with at&t GPS satellite. Other than that it's wonderful!

I downloaded the app and installed it.

When I run the app it has N/A with all the coordinates. The website shows the device under my devices but when I click on live tracking it says there is no device to track.

I am using blackberry pearl on rogers from Toronto, is this too far for you to track?

PS. Also it would be awesome to have a WAP website so that you can track yourself on your own blackberry and use it like a GPS.

Try rebooting the device. There are issues with bluetooth GPS in OS 4.2.1. I'm not real familiar with this particular app but other bbtracker aps need a reboot in order to work sometimes. It's a RIM OS issue.

I have rebooted, and still same issue.

I will try to turn off the bluetooth and see if it fixes it.

As I have not been on the road all weekend I had no use for the program but this morning I went to log into the website and was unable to load the page. Is the server down or is the project dead?

I am about to install it on my BB. Been reading the thread. I am in London in UK.
Just got the e-mail with the link for downloading after registering, am just a bit confused whether its istalled directly from my PC using the interface or I need to go to the link using my BB.
Cant wait to start using this program.

You will need to go to the link using your Blackberry for the install.
