Are you both referring to this auction:

Link

I hope so since I ordered some from them two days ago.

What's meant by "full cover?" Exactly what does the protector cover?

Default How is the clarity?

I am waiting for mine. Is it non-glare or clear?

its a glare one... i fits perfect but seems like it takes away from the awesome resolution of the screen....

maybe back to drawing board.... but will leave this one on till i find a clear one... on thing i can tell you when i switched today from the screen protecter i got last week from them to the full screen one today(same ebay seller) that there is no glue residue at all left behind..... so maybe she can have a clear one?

but.. fit is perfect

They install pretty easy (sometimes it takes more than one to get it on with zero bubbles, but any small bubbles that remain are not seen with the screen on.

I picked them up at Comp USA.
Ditto. I got the Fellowes at BestBuy for $15. Comes with 12 universal protectors. I wasted one getting the fit right, but the second one fits perfectly. I cut it to cover not only the screen but also the silver bezel (which is prone to scratching when in the holster). Now I can just re-trace the current cut when I replace the protector.

I have to say I'm very happy with the Fellowes. Very clear and they can be cut to cover other parts of the 8700 that are easily scratched. I hope the Martins will be built to protect the bezel as well.

edit: If you like your protector, post images of it in action. I'll try to get some up today.

Default Protective Solutions (The Invisible Shield)

They currently don't have one for the 8700c, put I their iPod, PSP, and other versions, and that material is amazing (they use it to laminate helicopter blades) and will not scratch, ever.

Perhaps if we show enough demand (each of us sends them an email) they'll make one for the 8700c.

Just a thought....

I called "Protective Solutions", maker of "The Invisible Shield" a few weeks ago and sent screen dimensions, and a straight-on-photo and they custom made me a screen guard. I will be receiving it Thursday. Call them and speak with "Oliver" of the design team to obtain one.

Check out this video...

Do you notice any decrease in ear piece volume? I thought about covering the silver bezel too but was worried about loosing volume since that's where the holes for the ear piece are.

Wirelessly posted (8700c: BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102 UP.Link/5.1.2.9)

So are the Invisible Shields clear or anti-glare?

I used the included protector as a guide. I laid it over the universal protector and cut around it. I then cut out the ear hole.

If I didn't have this option, I'd lay one uncut universal over the 8700. Then, using a fine Sharpie, trace out the cuts you need to make. You'll waste another universal, but at least you'll have a guide from then on.
