Any update? I have a friends birthday coming up and this would be a great gift, not to mention I would like one myself (we both have the hybrid case).

^ Depending on when your friends BDay is, you might want to get a backup plan.

Not sure if you noticed or not, but the original post did not make clear whether this will work with the hybrid case. I asked about this previously in the thread but didn't get an answer.

For me, this would be nice because I am often in the dark at night trying to feel the cable into the usb hole in the curve. With this, I can just drop it in there. Much more convenient.

I remember back in the day when ALL PDA units came with a cradle standard, and only the cheap units were missing one. This would be a nice addition.
I think this is great. I for one hate crawling behind my furniture to plug my charger into an outlet.... not to even mention the charger prongs move so you have to line up just right with the outlet, else the prongs just close in. With the cradle you connect the usb and leave it there... no fiddling with cords... just put the phone in the cradle and go. Fabulous!

Will any of these connect to the computer and sync also? Or are they all charging only?

The backup plan is firmly in place.

My understanding of this cradle (and the delays) is that it is intended to work with the Slim case on the device. Check the product description for the Pearl2 version (http://www.seidioonline.com/index.as...OD&ProdID=599), the 8310 is supposed to carry the same design aspects. If it turns out, that this is not the case, I will not be purchasing the cradle, since removing the case would be more trouble than plugging the phone in.

And this cradle is charging only, it uses the exposed connection pads (brass colored) on the back of the phone to pass the charge to the battery. Data cannot be past in this manner.

From what I have read you will not have to take off the case for it to fit. It will fit and charge with their cases on.

Seidio, any update? I'm ready to ditch the hard case and get RIM's cradle if no update.

I much prefer the look of this official one that's due out at the end of the month. Only $24.95!

For those in the UK, Expansys will be selling this when it's released for £13.95.

At this point I have to agree, I think I am going to be heading in the direction of the RIM charger, sorry Seidio.

It IS great IF you don't use the Seidio hard case. Will I have a new BB before this Seidio dock comes out?

We have a little bit tooling issue need to be resolved. It will not be too long (may be 7-10 days)

Sorry for the delay and thank you for the patience.

I'm debating to buy anything for the curve seeing I always need the new blackberries coming out, even though the new one doesn't really do it for me.

If you are referring to the charging cradle, that is a Seidio product, independent of RIM.

Ok. I've given up waiting. I'm going to buy the regular charging pod today.
