Is the Contact Alert "Messages" option functioning correctly, or does it still use the "default" profile alert for messages?

All's well..
This version is pretty rock solid for me. Battery life is excellent. They must be getting close to the final carrier releases here soon.

Huh? You realize this version has been released by a carrier, right? This isn't a beta version.

Excuse me for asking but if everybody is saying this is the best OS yet and it is official, not beta, what exactly is it that you would be waiting for?

Been on this OS for about 2 days now and love it! Most stable so far and a few glitches I have noticed are now gone.

I just made the change from 405 to 423, works great so far. I notice that everything seems much faster, especially the pictures in my card load much faster. There was always a bit of a delay in 405. So far so good!

I've got that same issue. Can't reply on that SMS thread and I have NO idea who it's coming from. I've tried to delete it and it won't delete either.

I'm kicking myself for waiting so long before loading this - I guess due to the somewhat bitter taste that .351 left in my mouth. I finally gave in to curiousity and loaded this on my AT&T 9700 this morning - and am still mavleing at how much faster and smoother everything is that it was with .405.
For me I have found no bugs in this, and it has fixed one of the most annoying ones - the failure to save profile settings for some apps after a reboot.
On top of all that I have about 6M more free memory than I did before with .405 and I loaded the exact same modules.

Alright, after four days I can say, I am very happy with this built. Very stable and faster than .405 and I have more memory and battery life is fantastic. Now if RIM can get us a better browser, I can just ditch my iPhone

does anyone else, while updating to any version of the 9700 through app loader, the progress bar gets stuck when it is restoring your backed up data to your phone, specifically during the BB Groups portion, or does it just take extremely long during that part?

Voice recorder seems dodgy on this version. I can start a recording, but it's then difficult to stop. BB gets unresposive. Anyone else?

I takes much longer but shouldn't get stuck.
I did a backup via DM to make sure there was no corruption of the data before I actually run the loader to upgrade the OS. It paused for some time but did ultimately succeed in both the backup and the restore.

I have been using this OS for several days now, and I am very happy with it. Some observations:
- Boot time seems shorter than previous builds. May be my imagination though.
- There are new icons in the Files application to represent folders, memory cards, etc. Nothing earth shattering here, but interesting to me nonetheless.
- As others have noted, profile settings are now preserved after a reboot of the phone. Thank goodness.
- On previous builds, I had many icon choices when creating new folders on the application screen, including several custom icons. Now, I no longer have the custom icon choices. This too is not a big deal, but worth nothing for those that used the custom icons in new folders to organize their apps.
- The BlackBerry Messenger that is pre-installed is based on version 5, but I was unable to determine the specific version. When I looked in the applications list, the version was noted as 5.0.0. Strange. Additionally, when I installed the latest version of BBM (5.0.0.57), I ran into unusual dialog boxes asking if I wanted to replace xyz module (about a dozen dialog boxes). I had never seen these before when installing or upgrading BBM (or any other app for that matter). The upgrade of BBM still worked.
Nevertheless, I'm very happy with this build. Seems to be a good one.

I had to go back to T-Mobile's version. When i would try to turn on Wi-Fi my phone would reboot itself.
