Exited out, tried again...nothing. Sent an email to Beejive support. Then tried auto-configuration again (while on EDGE only) and it finally worked and logged in.
Right now my settings are:
Mobile Network Transport: TCP
WiFi Option: Wifi Preferred
I really don't know what I did as these were the settings in there to begin with...

Have you had any more trouble with the edge connection??.. I think I'm gonna give it another try..

I don't know if Beejive has to build it this way cause of the BB API, but this beta release of wifi enabled is all wrong... If you turn off your gsm antenna and leave wifi enabled, the option for wifi disappears and it also fails to network autoconfig. I don't have BIS or BES, have JiveTalk working over TCP, and it no longer works with the wifi preferred option, can't log in at all. If I change it to never or mobile network preferred, works fine.
I can't get it to connect via WiFi AT ALL since I don't have BIS.
I love you JiveTalk, but if you're releasing a UMA style implementation of wifi where the program's connection is dependent on the gsm antenna (regardless of TCP or BIS data plan), this defeats the purpose of WiFi for us Canadian users that are trying to avoid getting raped by Rogers... :P

I have confirmed this. I have a bold wifi logo with the mobile network turned off (bold just means I have a bb data plan and will still get my emails.) I can use the wifi browser to get internet but JiveTalk no longer connects and the wifi options in preferences have disappeared, just as you said. I would email their support with your issues.

So found out the program seems to be tied to the gsm antenna being on. It will work on wifi for me (no BIS, just TCP) if both the gsm and wifi antenna's are on and the APN settings are cleared. Found that particularly odd too... having the APN settings active resulted in a bad dns error...

Bah! I just sent an email off to Beejive before I saw this post. Good info. Thanks!
If you have no data plan, there isn't any need for apn settings, I suppose.

apparently with rogers there is. raw tcp data (mobile $5 internet plan) won't work over edge without the apn settings. i get an invalid tunnel name in JT without the apn settings set.

I just tried the page again and it takes me to 1.0.4. Did you try clearing your cache?

I tried that also. Who knows it seems like when I do that for other programs it doesn't work either.

Try a different browser...If you're using Internet browser, try wap browser (tzones) or vice versa.

I was downloading the wrong one. I thought the second one was 4.1, not 4.21 and higher.

I logged on with no problem however, my Mobile network setting was =BIS and WiFi Option was set to = Never.
Should I have switched these to what JC has mentioned above?
