I have tried their product.
Handheld Contact charges alot of money for
their product because they offer live wireless synch back to your PC version
of ACT.

That is not needed by people like me who are self employed-no one
is back at the office changing my calendar and adding things for me- which
is the basis for their whole product.

I want to create an activity on the BB from within the contact view (or,
alternatively create an activity and have a drop down to choose a contact
for that activity).

That activity would then exist as:
Activity Type: Meeting
Smith, Jeff [Smith Brothers Glass]
Follow-up presentation
Notes: be sure to ask about pricing options...

When I synch my BB with ACT it would then show up on the calendar and also
in that contact's activity page. All of these are then stored and I have a
history of everything I have done with each contact.
as well as what is coming up with them.

I e-mailed Cross River and they have told me it is not possible with their product.

The more people that demand the product from Iambic the more they will have to consider developing Agendus for BB. I am a long time user of Agendus (a few years now) on the Palm platform and it is by far the best PIM on a handheld I've found. There were some growing pains on a couple of minor versions but the team over there is responsive. Let your voice be heard and let them know you want their product on the BlackBerry platform.
