Are you new to Verizon? I am and I was wondering if they will do it for new customers or just existing customers.

Hey pib...thanks. I just unlocked mine. Pretty simple process. Just call Global Customer Service at 800-711-8300 I also confirmed that this was a "no charge" process.
You simply call Verizon before you take an international trip so they can set you up with unlimited email and internet. The charge is $69 per month instead of $30. They will prorate the charge at $2.00 (plus some change) while you are there. It's pretty cool to know that you can easily stay in touch via email with everyone that matters!!!!

Can't activate my Storm
I am about to go crazy !!
I live outside the US and bought a Storm from Best Buy in Miami..."Oh yes sir that will work fine where you are"....Guess what - When I get home I can't activate the Storm, and when I phone up Verizon, they can't help as I don't have a phone number, even though it came with a Verizon SIM inserted.
I understand how to get the phone unlocked so I can use my local phone company but does anyone know how I can get my number in the 1st place, or can I unlock without it.
If not, then I'm back in Miami after Christmas and I'll be having a chat with that nice guy in Best Buy !!

The 16 digit MEP code is unique to each handset. You need to contact Verizon to get the number for your handset.

As of right now, is anyone using an unlocked Storm on at&t. And if so, does everything work, like the internet, email, sms, etc?

I'm having problems getting the IMEI number on my Verizon locked 9530 storm. Typed in *#06# on phone mode but nothing happens?
Any advice how to rectify this?
Thanks.
