Tried deleting the service book... it came back when I cradled but it's still not synching calendar events. I also see that "Wireless Synchonization" does not appear as an option under Calendar options.

Didn't you say that your BES was pre-version 4? I don't think you get wireless PIM sync unless you have BES 4 or later. That might just be contacts though... I honestly can't remember.

It is an older BES version, but the admin says it supports wireless calendar synch and that his BB synchs just fine...

Now that I check... the "Wireless Synchronization" option has disappeared from my calendar, contacts, memopad, and tasks options lists.

It needs to be enabled on the BES; have your besadmin verify this.

What version of handheld software is your Blackberry using?

You can find out by going to Options > About

Does it need to be enabled for me individually? Because if other peoples calendars are synching, I'm pretty sure it's enabled on the BES itself, lol

It might simply be not enabled for you. It can be set per user.

I was on the phone with him as he went through the options in my account on the BES and he didn't see anything that referred to calendar synch. Our BES is version 3.65... do you know where/what the option is that needs to be enabled?

BES 3.6 is old, outdated, practically obsolete. While there are still people that use it, it's likely that there just aren't that many users in this forum that are familiar with troubleshooting an old version of BES.

I know there's members here that can help you, but you'll just have to be patient and hope that one comes along.

In the meantime... you should really push to get a newer version of BES.

I unfortunately don't know off hand where this is in 3.6 and shredded most all my 3.6 docs in the great shred-off of 2007 (2 weeks ago)

Do you know the name of the option, or anything else that might help? Why would it not be showing up in my device's calendar options menu?

Have you tried using the Desktop Software to see that Calendar is set to wireless synch. Vaguely remember having to initially set the Calendar to synch with Outlook via the usb-cable (while setting it up). Once completed, changed the option to "Wireless Synch" and synchronised again. Did your BESAdmin maybe change this option in his attempt to get you working?
stab in the dark really.
I'll see if anybody has any notes left prior to going to v4.

Yeah... with the desktop software, originally set it to synch with Outlook, then under Synchronization -- Organizer setup, changed Calendar to "BlackBerry Wireless Synch"
