The newest version includes support for SMS! I don't know about bbm, since I rarely use it. I do wish it would use a contact name as the sender, instead of just their number for SMS.
doesnt work for my device. wasted $7

os 4.2.2
Email them -- maybe they can help you get it working. There is an option to send questions form within the program. I sent a comment last last night and got a reply early this morning. That's good support.
Would be awesome if they make the sms pop up blink a blue led and make the email pop up window blink a green led alert. Basically, an option to change colors for alerts, wether its email, sms or blackberry messenger? alert
I suggest contacting the Support Group for PeekaWho. You can do so by launching the app, then from the menu, About Us>Give Feedback> then select report a problem for your subject.
I had an issue activating, and they were quick to respond.
I just downloaded PeekaWho and I couldn't get it to work. It wouldn't pop up on any emails. I then contacted Customer Support thru the PeekaWho program and they responded to me in less than 5 minutes with an automated email suggesting I download the "fix". I did so, now PeekaWho works just fine. My recommendation to others that may have a similar problem is to do a reboot after initially downloading the program.
I downloaded the previous version of PeekAWho and it didn't work for me at all. It did not show as running in the switch ribbon either, which may have explained it.
I downloaded the newer version 1.149 and now it shows up in the switch ribbon as running (this may have been due to my deleting other autostarting apps). Now SMS (which was added in 1.149) works but email still doesn't.
However, I am running BB Alerts 1.65.
I wonder what this fixed version is... I will ask.

Thanks Shaun. BB Alerts is still working for me, but although the previous version of PeekAWho wasn't working, it's partially working for me now (SMS works but email still doesn't). At least PeekAWho is running in the background now, I'm pretty sure it wasn't running at all (which explains why it wasn't working) with the first version.

Oops, I forgot to update on the situation. I contacted smrtguard support and they had me download and install a special version. It solved all issues and is now working.
I was skeptical, as this special version was labelled as for OS 4.2.2 and I am running OS 4.2.1, but it did the trick.

Only download this if you have OS 4.3 or over. The other version will come when we actually fully release.
New in PeeKaWho - v1.159
- SMS popup showing sender address book name instead of number
- Followup! Integration (you can followup to emails from the popup, but you need to install FollowUp! as well, see below)
- SMS on/off
- Backlight on when popup arrives
I have updated to v1.159 and the "Backlight on when popup arrives" does not work as described. Anyone have it working on 4.6, or any OS for that matter?
Has anyone noticed that this application causes the battery to run down much faster? Before I installed PeeKaWho, my Bold ran all day, no problem, with at east 30% battery left by 7pm. Now, after PeeKaWho, it is at 10%. I have made sure nothing else is inadvertently running tat may cause this. Any ideas?

the backlight on when popup arrives is working for me on 8120 with 4.5.0.52
i don't notice any difference in battery life so far.
i know it was mentioned before, but it would be nice if the app understood that email and text are setup in different folders, not all in the messages inbox.
