Default Today Time Zone

Please Login to Remove!

I fixed the Time Zone problem. I selected Exit from Today closing the application. I went to the main Options menu, selected Date/Time, and Request Time. Then I restarted Today.

Can anyone tell me the differences (or advantages) to having "PocketDay" over this software? Just curious if it's worth plunking down money for the other one...

There's a free 30 day trial for PocketDay so just give it a try. The free program seems to burn a lot of power. PocketDay has some nice views as well.

Great idea! All I had to do was close BBToday, and open it again.

Thanks!

I've been testing out PocketDay and BBToday. I generally like the look of the "home" screen in PocketDay more, and have had better luck getting the weather and stock quote feature to work consistently compared to BBToday (just my experience, your mileage may vary) but haven't decided if I like PocketDay enough to justify the money.

I did notice a decrease in battery life with BBToday, but I believe it was due to the program trying to download stockquotes pretty frequently. I initially noticed a similar but somewhat smaller decrease in battery life when I first used PocketDay, but appeared to have resolved that problem by stopping the retrieval of stock quotes every 15 minutes.

Tough call. I prefer some of the features of BBToday, and prefer others in PocketDay. Wish I could combine the best of both, for that I would definitely shell out some money.

Default BB Today

Download version 1.5 and loaded it to my 7250 running OS 4.0.
Works great! Made the mistake of showing it to others, now I have to load it for them.

Thanks for the link!

So far I like BBToday a little better. The startup screen shows more details of my day at a glance. I think the layout, and the fonts make it fit better on the screen in the expanded view. However, the weather does seem to have more glitches on updating on this program than PocketDay does...

I would like to see appointments and tasks for tomorrow as well as today so I know whats coming up. Maybe this could be user configurable.

Just a wish.

and type in Toronto

It will give you the station ID (CAXX0504)

I'm getting this message too. I'm running a Bell Mobility 7750 upgraded to 4.0, non-BES. I've read about a setting in BBToday for non-BES, but I cannot find it. Was it removed from 1.5?

Everything else is great.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Great application!
SWEET!!! I just installed on my 7100t, works great, although ocasionally I get a "malformed address" on the stock ticker. Also, right now the stock I put in there is not showing data, it just says 0.00. Is that because the market is closed?

Well it’s been fun while it’s lasted but I must announce that my free suite of BB products will no longer be available publicly. I can’t get into the specifics but let’s just say that I don’t have the time or money to deal with legal issues.

At this point in time I've withdrawn all download locations for the software so you will not be able to download them anymore. Any external servers that I was providing are no longer available.

It was a fun ride but it now must come to an end. Thanks to everyone for their kind words about my software. I'm glad you got enjoyment out of it....

Later.

Although we certainly aren't entitled to an explanation, it would be nice to know more about what happened. But I guess something that is freely given can be freely taken back. I'm also surprised at the lack of reaction so far to this announcement.
