There is no 4.2 software for the 8703e. You already have the latest handheld OS. You can't use Media Manager to transfer files to your BB.

Go to Options > Security Options > General Settings.
If you have an IT Policy listed there... then that is likely your problem.
The fact that you can't change your firewall settings is a good indicator that your BES has pushed an IT policy to your device.

I'm sure your company BES has IT policies in place to prevent you from installing games on your BB.
They'd be silly to allow you to do so.

Go to mobile.blackberry.com using your Blackberry browser and click the Downloads link.
There is a handful of free ringtones, wallpapers, themes, games, etc.. for you to download.

No, you can't do that.
You should also NOT give out your @blackberry.net e-mail address to anyone. There is no way to control the SPAM you'll start to get once that e-mail address begins to circulate.

Default 8700 Screen Display

I am not too sure just how to go about posting a question on this site or even if I am in the right place but I will try here.

I do not have or want a DATA connection to my 8700 although I do like to be able to sync with my computer desktop. Is there a way to use the desktop software to move a photo from my computer to my BB so that I can use it as a home screen?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

Do you (anyone) normally charge your battery every night or rarely, every two nights? Or is my battery just bad :/

No, there is no way to do that.
You need a data plan.

Default moving home screen icons

Hey,

I want to move or hide an icon from the home screen while in the "Dimension-Zen" theme. I tried the "alt-Click trackwheel" but it does not work in this theme.

Any suggestions?

Question Quick Question

I am a seriously New user to the Blackberry world. I just got my BB about a week ago and can't seem to figure if there is a software that allows me to manage my Calendar on my computer and sync it with my BB. I know, this is petty, but I need help.

Thanks to anyone that can help me.

Your best bet is using outlook and setting up the synchronize section in desktop manager to sync it with the device.
