Default 7290 power itself off

Please Login to Remove!

I have a user who just got a BRAND SPANKING NEW 7290, and he has just informed me it has been powering off and the only way to get it back on is to take out the battery and put it back in.

I thought okay maybe the Battery is the problem, but I gave him a BRAND SPANKING New extended life battery and it is still doing it.

Any Ideas?

Default Reloading

Well, I have reloaded the POS to rule out that it is not a software issue. I have replaced four 7290's in the 2 months. My users' are killing me, at least the 7290 users. With that said I am crossing my fingers hoping this will help, but know it is most likely a hardware issue.

I had someone with the same issue.

I think that reloading the software MAY have fixed it for him. This was a little while ago. Coincidentally, I saw him today. He acted like it was better.

It did the trick... I had forgotten about this issue since the Doc who was having the problem hadn't had it happen since the reload. The only way I found out it worked was by him telling that is was working fine.

So reload FTW.
