Default Migrate 5.0.3 (32-bit) Express to 5.0.4 (64-bit) Express

Please Login to Remove!

Hi guys,

We have (approx 40 BB users on) BES v5.0.3 Express on the same server as our Exchange 2003 server.

We are migrating mailboxes to Exchange Server 2010 now (from Exchange 2003) and our BES Server 5.0.4 will be installed on a dedicated 64-bit server. It will Not be an-in place upgrade. There is only one Exchange organisation (so this is in the same AD domain).

How do we migrate our BES user accounts from v5.0.3 to v5.0.4?

The BESx and Exchange2010 servers will both installed on servers that are in the same AD domain and Exchange Organisation.

We will be migrating the users' Exchange mailboxes in a 'live mode' which is every few days.

Will we need to get a temporary SRP ID (as we do with the Enterprise BES product) and temp CALs?

Do we use the same BlackBerry Domain? Or we create a new BlackBerry Domain when installing v5.0.4?

What will the impact me on BB users? Will they have to wipe their BB's?

Also, will the Transport Tool assist with this?

Thanks in advance.

Jay
