I've done it before but are you sure that you don't have a bluetooth device paired that you forgot? My car automatically grabs my phone when I'm within range and many times I forgot about it until I heard the caller's voice on my stereo in the car...

No. I keep my bluetooth off. I don't use my bt at all. When you make a call it has in the upper right hand corner a phone with a headset above it.

Try this....do a battery pull and wait 5 minutes. Next, install a pair of headphones into the headphone jack on your storm and put the battery back in. Once the OS boots and is settled, try to make a call with the headphones still plugged in. Once the phone starts to ring, click menu and activate speakerphone. Unplugg the headphones while you're in speaker phone mode and hang up. Then try to make a call and see if that works. I had this same issue, and this is how I handled it.

Hopes this helps.

ive had this happen a couple of times now with my storm (and not necessarily after an OS upgrade)
ive managed to restore the normal functionality via some combination of headphones in, out, make a call, hang up, unplug headphones, etc...

i plug my phone into my car's aux jack almost every day, and ive chalked up the issue to wear and tear on the jack... do you use the headphone jack a lot?

I had the same exact problem. Turns out I didn't delete the vendor file when I upgraded to .132 and it wouldn't connect to the Verizon network. I had just received my phone that day and upgraded before I even activated it. Was on with tech support for 2 hours and they marked it dead on arrival. I went to a VZW store and exchanged it for a brand new one. Not sure how to fix it, though.

hmm...
not deleting the vendor.xml file will cause apploader to not offer the "upgrade" OS as an upgrade to your device...

basically, not deleting the vendor file most likely had nothing to do with the headphone issue...
