That wasn't directed directly at you (Directed Directly, that just sounds funny) Why do you think I hunted him down on his website. It's a wonderful app, that I am sorely missing right now. It was more for the "I use this app cause its free, but now its broken so he better effin fix it right now" crowd. They're the same people who use free themes and expect the creator to make like 15 customizations to suite their needs. Selfish Selfish people

I certainly have gained more respect for this little app. It reminds me of how little I respect my hot water heater until it goes out.

The 'author' has placed the code in the public domain and no longer supports it. Fortunately, the last time there was an issue, Tateu came riding in on his white horse and saved the day. Tateu did the fix out of kindness and a desire to help the community, but isn't responsible for fixing it every time it breaks. He may well be able to resolve the issue again (no doubt he's capable, so long as he is available). I have it on good authority that he knows of the problem and will most likely take a look.

Free software is often unsupported, especially after a period of time... developers move on other projects - sometimes paid projects. Sometimes you get what you pay for. BBWeather is a great little free program that many of us use and love, but let's face it, gang, it's an orphan.

I'd be willing to pay some money ($5 seems reasonable) to be able to maintain this app and keep it up to snuff. Clearly there are quite a few of us who use it and like it. Perhaps $ will lure a programmer to maintain it.

Ok, it seems to be fixed for OS 4.3 and above...except...weather.com now only provides a maximum of 5 days of forecast, instead of 10. I should hopefully have an OS 4.2 version ready in a day or two.

Desktop Install

OTA (autodetect)
http://www.tateu.net/software/dl.php?f=BBWeather

The OTA link should hopefully detect if you are running a Storm or not. If it does not, you can force it with:

OTA (Storm)
http://www.tateu.net/software/dl.php?f=BBWeather&os=4.7

OTA (not a Storm)
http://www.tateu.net/software/dl.php?f=BBWeather&os=4.3

Default Thank You

If the license/model of this app changes to pay/fee, please contact me as I am willing to pay for this app. I didn't panic only because I have 2 BBs.

Thumbs up

BBWeather 0.85 also appears to fix the issue where my VZW 8830 would not automatically download weather data following device reboot. Thanks again, tateu!

Thanks Tateu. Any fix for the same problem for bbToday?
