Best AIM app for curve?
Please Login to Remove!
I dunno if there are any differences between the curve's apps and other BB's apps(when it comes to AIM), but I guess if the mods feel it's in the wrong place they'll move it.
Anyways, what's considered to be the best AIM app for the curve? I've tried three.
OZ, which is slow in sending messages back and forth, doesn't support chats.
The one from the BB Website, which is quick in sending messages, but doesn't support chats?
And also Ramble. but sometimes it doesn't work right. Like, I can't set my Away message, I can't enter chats on my own, and sometimes it won't recieve messages if I'm online on another comp. I often leave AIM logged in on my computer, and when I'm out I use my BB. But this is an annoying problem. I tried redownloading it, and battery pulls and everything, no success.
Are there any other good AIM clients? Free is nice, but I guess if it's good, I'm willing to pay.

I second BeeJiveIM. It has a 30 day free trail. It's worth checking out. It's also worth the money if you ask me.

Aha, thanks guys. I tried out jivetalk and I really like it. I'll probably buy it in the future, since I use AIM a ton.
Is there anyway to set the chat name for when you create a new chat, though? It's not a big deal, so long as it's fast for messages, has a good GUI, and everything works the way it should, but it'd be nice to be able to customize the chat name.
Also, about purchasing it. If I order it from my phone, that 20$ will show up on my wireless bill, right? Or is it a buy with credit card, get a registration key deal?
Once again though thanks for the fairly quick and helpful replies.

check through appworld, they use paypal
if you order through the actual company I think its either CC or paypal
good thing about appworld though is if you wipe your device or change devices, they remember which apps you paid for and allow you access to it again free, since you already paid for it.

Have you resent your service books?
You can re-send them from either the email setup icon or from your BIS Site/login.

Yea.. If your just going to use it for AIM alone then I would just use the RIM provided client.. I've got Yahoo/AIM/WLM/MySpace/GTalk accounts so I prefer Jivetalk makes it easier for me.
