@Mimahitna: The last OS for the Bold is .110, not .120 - do you have a newer source? Also - where did you find a link which was "secure"? Do you mean there is a password attached or it is on a special website?

Just curious.

In thread-Latest Known Beta OS,post #231,koolaidWTF said that latest beta OS for Bold is 5.0.0.120.
My question is-where is download link and why download link is not presented ?
If answer is-this is beta,mi question is-why we talk about beta if nobody can test it ?
Symple !

Ahh... Not QUITE so simple. The only ones "allowed" to beta test are under NDA - Carriers, hardware manufacturers, developers - those sorts of people.

WE are just "very interested" - We do it because we need to know for our own personal interest. RIM never invites enthusiasts to test even though we may own several devices and would make great testers...

This forum is to make us aware of the progress of the builds out there but it is against the rules (and NDA's etc) to allow direct links to beta builds (which are, by nature, not supposed to be there in the first place).

If someone says "I saw revision yyy.xx the other day" it is just to say that there is progress and to keep your eyes open on the many blogs and forums (and even Twitter). I have friends in the Carrier world who are testing BlackBerry and iPhones and they are much higher revisions than my toys, but they are not allowed to share. Someone finds out and then they are unemployed.

Thread title got my hopes up. ;)

Oh, and the latest known beta build is 5.0.0.120. The thread on BBForums hasn't been updated yet.

Simple yes. Obviously you need to read the remainder of that thread. Just because an OS is 'known of" doesn't mean that it is leaked or available.

read.

well i know the rules, however he does bring up an interesting point. ms has learned to make use of us and have been for 2-3yrs (publicly) now, maybe rim should do the same they and maybe they'll find that their software has less bugs and crash's if they considered betaing more than 5 ppl, could be possible if anyone knows anyone at rim and mentions this to them and again reference what i said ms has been doing it for at least a couple of yrs now. rim can solve all their software problems without the user otherwise i feel even tho they are about an hr and a half drive away from me that rim will continue to fail to deliver a blackberry device that meets their wanted requirement and ours.

I wish they'd release the 120 build already to some leakers out there :P I wanna install it! Remember when the Storm came out? It came with with 65 or or 68 or something like that... That OS was no where near release readiness and they launched a worldwide campaign with it and presenting it to the world as the first BB Touch screen and give it HUGE publicity (or at least here in europe, every poster board was plastered with a BB Storm and Vodafone sign). The bold 93 build is a lot better than the storms, and the 120 should also be better. The Curve 8900 builds just keep getting higher and higher, and better and better. What am I rambling about? Ohh yeah... I want the 120 build haha. But i'm patient. I just REALLY miss the Profile Manager on the Storm (cuz I had the storm) and now i"m on the bold. Also, OS 5.0 just looks nicer

People really need to stop bumping this thread up.

Well, unless it's been leaked of course. Oh, and I meant after this post. ;)

Does anyone know when this might possibly be leaked? It's been a while since ANYTHING got leaked for the Bold.
