I just received my BB 8900. I just found this site. I found many things using the "SEARCH" button.

This particular question I cannot found. Maybe its to simple?

When receiving a Instant Message on MSN I was to disable all sounds. BUT I do not want to change my phones profile setting.

Anyway of doing this without changing the phones profile sounds? I do not want to be turning off/on the phones profile before/after I finish using MSN. Which would get annoying pretty quickly.

Please edit the profile you wish to use on a daily basis and set the sounds for the messaging programs to "None".

Instructions on editing profiles should be listed in the device manual.
